Biography

MAURO DIRAGO is a London based singer/songwriter, born in Italy and named after his village S. Mauro. Mauro moved to the UK at the age of three, learning to play guitar at the young age of seven and writing his first song when only nine years old!!

His enthusiasm, energy and ambition brought him to the attention of Pete Waterman at the famous PWL studios where he gained invaluable experience in his teenage years! Mauro worked along side massively successful artistes developing his recording technique and vocal skills. Eventually he reverted to playing live gigs, performing his own material

Mauro has received high praise for his writing and producing fantastic pop songs from high profile people in the music industry; including Radio & TV legend BOB HARRIS!

The tracks on ‘REWIND’ made up of original material have been produced by MAURO’ MARCO MASTROCOLA Other collaborations on the album are with Hit Songwriter ROB DAVIS Hits include ‘Can’t get you out of my head’ for Kylie Minogue and Culture Club’s BOY GEORGE wrote the single KING OF KINGS on the album that has a retro feel to it the only cover song is fever feat Paul McCartney’s cousin Kate Robbins.

Mauro is proud to be involved in the new No1 Elvis Presley album ‘If I Can Dream’ with Priscilla Presley and Don Reedman recorded at Abbey road Studios with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra out now.
